Entering Into God’s Presence Through Prayer

The fire of Pentecost is fueled in the furnace of prayer.

prayerAre you a person of prayer?  That’s a question each of us should ask ourselves.  All of us know we should pray more.  Each of us have heard a plethora of messages on prayer.

It’s clear that we have heard the value of prayer and that we know we should pray.  The real question is will we pray.

Phil. 4:6 exhorts us to take everything to God in prayer; leaving our worries at the altar and putting our trust in Jesus!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6 NASB)

There is a wonderful message in this passage of scripture that is hidden in the original languages of the Bible.  The verse actually declares that when we pray we are in God’s presence!

That takes prayer from the idea that you are talking to a God afar off to you talking to God in His presence.  Think about that!  When you pray, you are present with Him.

The next time you go into your closet to pray, know you are not talking into thin air.  You are speaking to the One who gave all for you in His presence.  It’s time for you to take your burdens to Him and leave in there.
