Learn To Listen

The key to living an overcoming life in Christ is to yield to the Holy Spirit.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
(Romans 6:13 KJV)

the-difference-the-holy-spirit-makesIt’s a very simple truth.  You can’t go wrong listening to the Spirit of God living in you.  He is there to guide you.  He is there to comfort you.  He is there to transform you into the image of Jesus.

As simple as this truth is, many of us do not pay enough attention to Jesus living in us.  We are presence wired by the Holy Spirit. There is never a moment when we are alone, but we often live our lives as if the Father and Son are a trillion miles away.

Why?  We get busy and forget that He is there.  Sure we know He is always present somewhere in the back of our minds, but we seldom acknowledge His presence during the day.  We get busy with life, caught up in this life and forget the eternal life living in us.

I am convinced if we would make a conscious effort to seek Him during our busy days, our days would become less hectic and much more peaceful and productive.

That my friend is the enemy’s tactic.  He wants to keep us preoccupied so we will not be occupied with the One who has all the answers.  I am convinced if we would make a conscious effort to seek Him during our busy days, our days would become less hectic and much more peaceful and productive.

So how about it?  Isn’t it time you made time for Him?  He is waiting to be a good Father to you.  All is takes is for you to pause and open the door to your heart!  You and I must learn to listen.
