This race we are called to run is not a sprint. It’s a marathon. To our eyes the goal always seems out there in the distance, but the truth is that it is already finished.
Our mandate as believers is to believe until we see the manifestation in the natural what is already accomplished in the supernatural. No matter how long we have to wait.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (Hebrews 4:9 K)
Look at the passage above. It promises a rest to the people of God. That rest that God promises is the fulfillment of what you have believing for in a limited scope, but it speaks of something far bigger also.
Exactly what Jesus accomplished for us is detailed in Hebrews chapter four. It’s an amazing snapshot of God’s heart. It lays out clearly His desire to see men enter into God’s sabbath rest.
Verse three of this passage states that God rested from all His works on the seventh day. All means all.
That means to you and I that everything God has for us was finished before we were even born.
We enter into that rest through the labor of faith. Read the whole chapter when you get a chance.
Believing and receiving takes time. So keep your eyes on the prize and don’t give up. Make up your mind and you will see the manifestation of what you are believing for!
